Summer is quickly coming to an end, and this is the first year that both of my girls will be in school. I have one in 2nd Grade and another in kindergarten. We have spent the summer having fun, creating memories and catching up on important skills either they have learned, or teaching them new things so they will succeed on their first day of school. My oldest is ready to tackle the second-grade head on and meet all of her classmates if she does not already know them. My youngest, however, is not as enthusiastic. She is nervous about going to school, worried about doing well, and worried no one will like her. You know, the typical worries every child has when they first start school. I told them both that no matter what, they will have an amazing time at school.
My daughter’s school is simply awesome. The teachers are so hands on and the principal is amazing. When it is time to go back to school shopping, I head to Walmart which is the one stop shop for everything I need to get them for school. Not only can I find them the coolest lunch boxes and school supplies, but they over hundreds of food products that are loaded with Box Tops. In case you didn’t know, Box Tops equals FREE money for your child’s school! Each Box Top is worth 10 cents, and those quickly add up. At Box Tops, they make it easy for you to give back to the school on products you purchase every day. While browsing down the cereal aisle, something caught my eye. I found a box that offered an additional 4 Box Tops when you purchased that box!! That is a total of 50 Cent being given to the school on a product that I was already planning on buying!
I love to help my daughter’s school out as much as possible. It is the little things that really matter the most. Last year we donated a total of $20.00 in Box Tops to help fund activities and supplies for her school. This year I hope to double that, and with received 5 Box Tops on select General Mills products, we will beat that without a doubt.
What are you waiting for?! Head over to your local Walmart and pick up one of these specially marked boxes and donate to your child’s school today.
