Almondina cookies are a “crispy wafer with the delicate flavor of roasted almonds and the natural sweetness of plump raisins.“ Yuval Zaliouk’s love for food and music began with his grandmother Dina’s secret cookie, Petit Gateau Sec. He has been recognized internationally as a symphony conductor, gourmet chef, and also named Entrepreneur of the Year. Almondina cookies, named in honor of his grandmother, are available in nine distinct flavor, and sold in all fifty states and seven foreign countries. The wafers are not only delicious, but a healthy treat, with no added fat and no cholesterol.
I was so excited when Almondina contacted me to do a review and giveaway! I received a sampler box which contained the flavors: Original, Almonduo, Pumpkin Spice, Chocolate Cherry, Cinnaroma, Ginger Spice, Choconut, and Sesame. I couldn’t wait to try them. I haven’t had anything like them before and wasn’t sure if I would like a hard cookie. I tried the original first. They are a very sweet flavor, but not overly sweet, just the right amount of sweetness. They were not as hard as I thought and I was surprised when I noticed there were raisins in it. I loved the added flavor the raisins added. The Pumpkin Spice has a very unique pumpkin flavor and was very good. I have to say my favorite was the Chocolate Cherry. It is made with dark chocolate and cherries and has no cholesterol so I could enjoy away! The Cinnaroma and Gingerspice were perfect for eating for breakfast. My girls even loved them and it is hard to get them to eat and enjoy anything that is good for them.
