Summer is here and for many families, this means that long-awaited vacation is finally approaching. If you are a parent, you know just how nerve-wracking it can be to travel with your kids. Whether traveling by car or plane, keeping the little ones entertained is not alway easy. Electronic devices are perfect for occupying them, but the noise can become a nuisance. Headphones are ideal for eliminating the excess noise, but finding a pair that is both safe and durable is not always easy. When onanoff offered to send me a pair of BuddyPhones inFlight Headphones to review, I knew our upcoming trip would more stress-free.
onanoff specializes in creating innovative electronic accessories that are easy to use. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the company focuses on problem-solving and design to bring consumers the latest in technology while keeping products functional and simple. Along with various styles of BuddyPhones, onanoff offers MacBook skins, universal docks, headphone accessories and more. The company has received numerous awards including the 2016 A’Design Award for their BuddyPhones inFlight headphones.
onanoff created BuddyPhones with the safety of children in mind. Excessive noise levels can lead to long-term damage such as hearing loss and according to the World Health Organization, 85 decibel is the recommended level for kids. They are designed with a three-volume preference setting of 75, 85 and finally a 94db flight mode max safe volume. The volume setting function on the headphones is child-proof but easy for an adult to adjust.
BuddyPhones inFlight Headphones have a durable design. They feature a flexible calibrated polypropylene headband to withstands breakage, even when pulled and twisted. They also have pillow-soft ear pads to keep little one’s comfortable. The headphones have a flat, detachable BuddyCable system that is resistant to tangles. This system also allows users to connect up to four audio cables to one device for easy sharing. An inline microphone allows children to talk to loved ones or interact with apps.
The headphones come in blue, pink, green, and purple. Kids can add a personal touch to their headphones with included stickers. There are also hard-shell BuddyCases for all foldable models to keep the headphones protected against damage. They have an inner mesh pocket to hold cable and accessories.

My boys use their headphones quite often, whether they are playing a video game, listening to music, or doing homework on their Chromebook. When we received the BuddyPhones inFlight headphones, they couldn’t wait to try them out. Both of the boys were impressed with the comfortable fit. Generally, their headphones slip and fall or are hard to adjust, but these were snug and stayed in place. They also enjoyed that they folded up so they can take them in their backpack for long car rides, field trips, and sleepovers.
One of their favorite features is the BuddyCable system since they can use it to both connect to one device. They often hover around one tablet together to watch videos so this lets them both hear the sound without subjecting me to it. The BuddyPhones seem really durable so I am not really worried that they will damage them. Overall, we are impressed with the headphones and will definitely get plenty of use out them.
