Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Lumia 635 #review #apps #phone

Do you ever find yourself without any green on St. Patrick’s Day? Show off your St. Patty’s day pride and avoid getting pinched by adding the green Lumia 635 to your wardrobe this year. I was able to review the Lumia 365 and test out the Microsoft platform for the fist time. I even got to try out some awesome apps that will help you with the holiday spirit. From game apps to apps to find a ride.

The Microsoft Lumia 365 runs on 4G LTE network and has a 4.5″ display with a 8 GB mass memory. The memory can go up to 128GB of memory with a microSD card. It features a 5.0 MP camera as well as a quad-core 1.2GHz processor. It has a maximum  standby time of up to 17 days and up to 16 hours of talk time.

The Microsoft Lumia 365 runs off a Windows system. The phone features a personalized start screen where you can have your own background, along with Live Tiles. Your Live Tiles stay on real time and right there for your convience. Your start screen is totally customizable with the Live Tiles as well.

The Lumia 365 also features the amazing Cortana. You know like Suri but a million times better. She hears every word fluidly and is so fast and smooth. From experience with Suri I can definitely say Cortana is the better of the bunch. Not once did she mistake my words for something else. Once customized to my location she was also very quick to pull up any stores I asked about that were near by.

The Lumia 365 also has some very fun and awesome apps for good ole’ St. Patty’s Day.

Memory Apps:

Lumia Camera– use to capture those amazing St. Patty’s Day memories.

St. Patrick’s Photo Booth– use to add some fun St. Patrick’s Day flare to your photos (This app is $.99).

Game and Social Apps:

Lep’s World– a game where you have to help Lep find his gold (reminded me of Mario a lot).

Irish Quiz– use to find out how Irish you are.

Untappd– helps you discover nearby craft beers and bars, as well as see what beers are trending.

Uber– an awesome app that helps you find ride and you will get picked up within minutes. Get home safely after a night of celebrating.

This was my first time using a Microsoft Lumia 365, and I have to say that I enjoyed it. I loved the Live Tiles on the start screen and that I could arrange them to my liking. Everything I find important or that I enjoy I can keep right there at my finger tips. And get this, it up dates on real time! The phone runs so smooth and fast. I had no issues with loading or anything. I especially loved how fast Cortana ran. I can schedule things through Cortana, even find places to eat. She is just fantastic. With the free streaming music service you can enjoy your favorite tunes, and the sound is great on the Lumia 635. Seriously the phone is pretty loud and I love that. I think the only thing I didn’t care too much for was the camera coloring and MP. The camera would take pictures and it was almost like it color popped them. I did like all the controls I had to use with my camera, like the ISO and manual focus. With all those added in functions it would have been better to have more MP. I am a picture fanatic though, so picture quality is a big deal to me.
