I was really excited when I had the opportunity to work with Crane USA. With it being cold season and the weather outside colder, the inside of our house is so dry. When you have a stuffy nose and coughing, the last thing you want is to be in a room where the air is dry. I was able to select an adorable animals humidifier. I picked the Owl Cool mist Humidifier. The owl is 9″ x 12.75″ x 9″. He also works to provide relief from coughing, colds, and even flu symptoms. He is perfect for a room size of 250 sq ft. (about the size of a bed room). What I liked about him is he is quiet. Some of the older models I have seen are really loud. The Owl Cool Mist Humidifier runs quiet. He has a one gallon water tank, which is enough water to run for 11 hours. In my box I also received the Organic Lip Bam in Citrus Menthol and a small think of cherry menthol to use in the humidifier. I rarely ever use over the counter meds on my kids because there is just too much risk in them, and sometimes medicine does more harm than it does good. The day this came, Kaylee had spent the whole night before coughing. That night I set up my humidifier, and set up was really easy, maybe took 5 minutes tops, and put it on a low setting. It comes with directions on how much moisture should be coming out of the top. I left it on all night and when we woke up the next morning, after 9 hours, he was still going just like I left him. Kaylee had also had a good night sleep. The night before she couldn’t go 10 minutes without coughing, while the humidifier was running, she coughed maybe 5 times the entire night. Aubreigh also has eczema really bad during the winter months. She has had a really bad case on her face. I set the humidifier in her room and ran it nightly for a week. While her eczema is not 100% cleared up, it is about 80% better thanks to her room staying moist. I think everyone should own a Cool Mist Humidifier.

Did you know that young children (school age and day care age) get about 6-8 colds and upper respiratory tract infections every year??? With that being said, the FDA and pediatricians do not recommend giving younger kids over the counter cough and cold medicine to any kid under the age of 6. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends using the following instead:
*Cool Mist Humidifier
*Saline Nasal Solution
*Nasal Aspirator
Here are just a few advantages of using a cool mist humidifier:
*Loosens nasal congestion
*Ease a dry cough
*Sooth Itchy Dry Skin
*Moisten Chapped Lips

Check out how quiet the humidifier is (yes it is on)
