Spring Floral Cosmetic Jars
Decorate your bathrooms and bring a bit of the outdoors inside with these lovely spring floral cosmetic jars. It’s officially spring, and we’ve been having amazing weather for the past two months, so for me Spring came early, but for those of you who had to wait until March 20th, it’s officially here! There’s just something about the spring, the smell of those beautiful flowers in bloom, the green grass growing and all the lovely colors that comes along with the season. While most people decorate their living rooms with all the lovely spring colors, how about giving your bathroom a quick makeover as well.
Mason Jars seems to be all the rage right now and the crafting possibilities are endless. They’re not just for canning any longer. They make great gifts and best of all you can decorate with them. So with spring in the air, we decided to grab a few jars and use them for our cosmetic supplies. I always have to have cotton balls and q-tips on hand, but would keep them in the bags and boxes they came in under the sink. I happened to have a few small mason jars that we use to put our grape jelly in, (we have grape vines), and they were just the perfect size. So with a little bit of spray paint and some floral embellishments they worked like a charm.
DIY Spring Floral Cosmetic Jars
- Half Pint Sized Mason Jars
- Bronze Spray Paint (or color of your choice)
- Fake Flowers (purchased at the dollar store)
- Glue Gun
- Mod Podge (optional)
Step 1: Start off by spray-painting your mason jars and covers in an open ventilated area. Follow the guidelines of your spray paint and allow to dry. Use 2 coats drying completely in between sprays. For best results leave it overnight. You can seal it with mod podge if you desire or leave as is.
Step 2: With your glue gun attach your flower on the cover of your jar.
Step 3: Fill your containers with your cosmetic supplies and you’re done.
