About Hapari: Founded in 2005, Hapari was started by moms who had issues with traditional swimsuits. They couldn’t stand the fact they had to choose either between style or comfort. So they decided to create and start their own line of swimwear for women that would be not only fashionable, but also flattering. Hapari swimwear is designed to enhance a woman’s natural beauty, no matter her shape.
So being a plus size girl it is hard finding a swimsuit that compliments my body. When I found out I was going to be able to work with Hapari I was super stocked. They have a wide range of swimsuits and accesories. You can get anywhere from size XS to 3X. I love that they cater to the plus size women, and the awesome thing is that the suits they make in the smaller sizes they also have in plus size.
So here is what I thought of each article from Hapari:
SunStrip plus size Seaside Tankini and Sundress: The tankini I ordered in a size 2x. I based it off of their size chart only for my chest area. I wanted to make sure if fit my bust area the best since I am big busted. The tankini is made up of 80% nylon and 20% spandex. It is UPF 50+. It has adjustable length straps on the sides, which in my opinion helps flatter a plus size mid drift area really well. The adjustable length also lets you adjust it to a sundress. I love this feature for when you are taking a stroll on the beach but want your backside covered. It also features a soft top band that comes with padded bust. I will say the padded area can be aggravating. They are sewn in so they cannot be removed. So you have to be careful if you fold and store your swimsuit in a drawer, because it will put indenitons in the padding. The tankini also has the options to go strapless, halter, criss-cross or tank for a custom fit. Overall I absolutely love this tankin top/sundress. By far my favorite swimsuit top I have ever owned. The fit and style is superb for a plus size figure.
Raspberry Pink plus size Tummy Tuk Swim Bottom:
The bottoms I ordered in a 3X according to their size chart. I should’ve went my normal size of a 2X though. They are looser than I like. The bottoms, like the tankini top, are made of 80% nylon, 20% spandex and UPF 50+. I love the higher rise of the Tummy Tuk Swim Bottom. It keeps your bottoms from cutting into your stomach in an awkward way. It helps giving a smoother look when sitting, instead of a normal bottom helping make a roll. If I would of ordered a size smaller it would have been a great tummy control band but they are a bit loose. I also love the bit of high cut it has at the side thigh area. Very flattering for you backside. All in all if I had ordered a size down these would have been the perfect bottoms. So just keep in mind these are TTS (true to size).
White plus size Cover-Up Board Shorts: The same as the bottoms I ordered these a size up, a 3X, going by the size chart. I definitely shouldn’t have. I probably could’ve gotten away with ordering a size 1X in these if I wanted a tighter fit, or a 2X for a slightly looser fit. These are UPF 50+. I love that they are poolside friendly. So if I had these on by the poolside and ended up needing to jump in after a child, I don’t have to worry about ruining them. They can be worn over your swimsuit bottoms for extra protection and coverage. I really wish I would have ordered a size down in these though as they are really big on me, but if I had ordered the right size these would have been the perfect addition to my swimsuit.
I was able to take all of my Hapari products to the beach Memorial Day weekend. I have to say that they were superb. My bust was held up well in the waves, which is a super big plus in my book! The bottoms even though they were slightly loose did really well staying put. I also love that they give the option to mix and match. You can create your own style with Hapari swimsuits. I recommend these for any plus size woman out their. Seriously the best swimsuit I have ever owned.
