I am not a great sleeper. I toss and turn all night long and can never seem to get comfortable. I am constantly messing with my pillow because it never seems quite right. Most mornings I wake up with a stiff back or neck and I really believe this is due to my pillow. I have tried all types and have yet to find one that offers the support I need. When Sleep Zzz offered to send me one of their pillows to review, I jumped at the chance.
The inventors of the Twin Z Pillow created this model for their child with sensory issues. Their intention was to design a pillow that would help their little one fall asleep faster and remain asleep. It did not take long before the company realized that this pillow could benefit all kids, not just those with sensory issues. While originally intended for children, the pillow was so well received, they created a Sleep Zzz Pillow for adults.
The sleep Zzz Pillow has a large “U” shape to give children or adults the feeling of being held. It features a 3mm soft fabric that is super soft and plush. The pillow comes with a removable cover that can be machine washed to keep it clean. Other covers are available in an assortment of patterns an prints. The pillow I received has the Blue Blooms cover which is stylish and practical.
I had never heard of the Sleep Zzz Pillow and when I learned about it, I was instantly intrigued. It reminded me of a larger version of the Boppy pillow I used for my babies. When it arrived, it was even bigger than I had imagined and I could not wait to try it out. It was not easy however, as my kids tried their hardest to convince me to let them try it first.
The pillow was luxuriously soft and well-made so I do not worry about it breaking down and becoming too thin too soon. It was also exceptionally comfortable to lay on. I am a side-sleeper and I loved that it gave me a place to lay my arms, while supporting my back. After the first night, I realized I did not wake up as often and my body did not feel as stiff. I figured this was just a coincidence, but after the second and third night, I knew it was just perfect for me. Of course, after a few days, I had to let the kids try it out and they loved it as well.
