Living in the south, there is one thing that everyone can agree on and that is football. On Friday nights the stadiums are filled to support our local high schools and on Sundays our couches are filled to support our favorite teams. One of the biggest games of the season comes around February. Everyone here in the south buzzes with anticipation to see if our favorite teams made it to the big game. When the big game comes you can guarantee almost every house is having a celebration of some sorts, including my family. At every celebration there is a feast which almost always includes some sort of chicken and potato skins.
Its the weekend before the big game and its time to start planning for the huge party. My husband has a few superstitions when it comes to his favorite team playing. He has to wear the same pair of socks every year for the game. He wont let me wash them, but luckily there is only one day out of every year that he wears them. We also have to have some sort of buffet on game day including some sort of chicken, potatoes, chip and dip, and beer. I usually try to do them myself but this year I wanted to try something new.

I headed over to my local Walmart where they were having a T.G.I Friday’s demo and had the T.G.I. Friday’s loaded potato skins as well as a beverage. My youngest daughter and I went over to try them out and I was so amazed that these were among one of the frozen products that is made by T.G.I. Friday’s. Kaylee just had to go back for seconds. At the demo area I was also able to score a coupon for $1 off 2 T.G.I. Friday’s frozen snacks which made for huge savings. The demo area was set up right across from the Frozen Food aisle so it was really easy for me to locate the frozen snacks. The frozen snacks ranged in price from right around $3.50 for the smaller boxes to $5.97 for the bigger boxes. Walmart carried a huge selection. I picked up a smaller box of the Loaded Potato Skins for $3.50 and the bigger box of the Chicken Wings with Honey BBQ sauce for $4.97 and paired with my coupon I only spent $7.47 and was able to help my husband not go into a frenzy because we didn’t have chicken or potatoes for his game.
Thanks to T.G.I. Friday’s frozen appetizers and Walmart rollbacks we were able to save a ton of money and have a delcious spread for our big game Sunday. Not only are the snacks easy to prepare, like literally you have yummy goodness in about 10 minutes, but they are also very fairly priced. The appetizers are the perfect addition for any game day treat. They are the perfect treat for any day.
