Walmart Family Mobile Alcatel One Touch Pop Astro

Father’s Day is very special in our house because my husband does so much for our family. He works very hard so I am able to stay home and take care of our little girls. This Father’s Day I wanted to give him something really special that he could benefit from every month. I knew that Walmart Family Mobile would be the perfect way to go. Getting a prepaid phone from Walmart Family Mobile is the gift that keeps on giving, month after month.

I packed up my kids and we headed over to my local Walmart and went straight back to the phones. My Walmart carries a huge variety of phones for the Family Plan. My husband actually has a little slider phone with WFM and he says that it is the best phone he has ever had. I could not wait to upgrade him from his little slider phone to a smart phone. He surely deserves it.

My girls and I ended up selecting the Alcatel Pop Astro Smartphone. Alcatel is a newer brand of phone but they are starting to be one of the top runners. This phone is available for only $64.88. Similar prepaid phones from other brands with the same features and size runs for  $99 +.  I figured this phone would be perfect for him. It is bigger than what he is used to, with the screen being 4.5″. He loves to watch YouTube Videos (and hogging my Kindle Fire) and with the video capture, playback and streaming being 1080p at 30fps he will be able to watch all the videos he wants now. For a prepaid phone, this phone has a really nice camera. It features a rear facing 5MP camera with an LED flash fixed focus, panorama, live filters and even night mode. I have the Galaxy S4 and other than the MP, this camera is very similar to mine.

We already knew how great the service was going to be, but let me tell you a little about it. Walmart Family Mobile is 4G LTE Capable, so this phone is super fast!! For only $29.88 you can get Unlimited Talk, Text and Data (up to 1GB of 4G LTE Data). This is what he currently has. While this plan is great and he has perfect signal at our house, at his work and even when we traveled to the beach. My phone is with another prepaid plan and my phone did not even have signal in certain places while traveling. I have decided to move him on up to the $39.88 a month plan. This one is still unlimited everything, but includes up to 3GB of 4G LTE Data. While he is at home he can connect his new phone to the Wi-Fi but while he is at work and on a break he can sit there and browse YouTube videos.

This is the perfect gift to give dad that keeps on giving. Not only are you saving a bundle on the purchasing the phone and can use that to get Dad even more gifts, but he will be saving anywhere from $5.00 to $15.00 a month on his phone bill (compared to similar prepaid phone services). Can you image how happy Dad will be having extra money to spend every month and knowing his has a reliable phone service?

What are you waiting on? Head over to your local Walmart and pick him up a Walmart Family Mobile phone today!
