Gluten Free Cereal at Publix

Gluten Free Cereal

During the summer months, when my kids are out of school, I love to feed them as healthy as I can while it still taste good. Now, I don’t mean cooking everything from organic and scratch. I commend all parents that can but we just can’t (and sometimes it is very expensive to try to cook everything organic and on one income, it’s rough). When I say I like to buy healthier products, I mean instead of buying regular cereal, I will switch to a gluten free brand.

I love to shop at Publix, and when we don’t have a million activities or tons of school work to do, I will usually do my grocery shopping there. Everyone at Publix is always so nice and helpful. My kids love to go there and stop at the bakery for a little treat. Well since school is over, we decided to make our weekly grocery trip to Publix. One thing I love about shopping there is that they offer digital coupons that you can usually stack with paper coupons and get amazing deals on products and cheaper than most grocery stores. This week I found out about an amazing deal and I can’t wait to share it with yall.

This week,┬ánot only did I find out that General Mills is starting to make all their popular flavors gluten free, but that Publix is also having an amazing sell on them! I read that one of their new gluten free varieties was going to┬áinclude Lucky Charms, which is my kids all time favorite cereals. Sadly, they were sold out of Lucky Charms (I can’t blame them) but they still had a ton of great General Mills cereals that were also gluten free. My kids ended up picking a Chex Clusters Cereal and the Honey Nut Chex. Ok, I may have had a little input on the last one. When I visited the digital coupon section I found there was a coupon for $1.00 off any 2 General Mills cereals. That means the normal $2.50 gluten free cereal ended up being only $2.00 a box. I don’t know about you, but every dollar counts.

The great thing about gluten free is that the products do not contain any of that nonsense that your body doesn’t need. They are simply made and delicious. Yes, that means you will not have to eat anything with high fructose corn syrup, no colors from artificial sources, and no artificial flavors. Everything that is gluten free is made out of all natural products. With my kids out of school I sure do feel better about them enjoying a simple breakfast that is packed full of flavor.

Let’s hear it! I would love to know if you try to eat gluten free! One lucky commenter will win $15 in paypal cash! Giveaway ends 7/01/2016!

I have not tried eating a gluten-free diet. It’s nice to see so many gluten-free cereals for those who do.

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about 10 years ago now so I have to eat gluten free. I am so excited with all the companies going gluten free for main stream products. I have missed Cheerios so much…so excited I can have them again now!
