I was so excited when I received this opportunity. Aubreigh loves to draw and color. She does it all day long once she gets home from school. Whenever she fills up her piggy bank and I take her to Wal-Mart to cash it to get her something, she always gets something art related. She is a lefty, and they say leftys are more creative and love to draw. So when I received an email from Art Alternatives I knew how excited Aubreigh would be for this review. We received the Children’s Art Activity Easel. One thing that helps me decide on if I want to purchase an item, is how long it takes to put together. Even though some products are great, I have to consider is it worth it trying to put it together. I hate feeling like I need an engineering degree to put stuff together. This easel was so easy to put together. It took less than 10 minutes. The legs on the easel are adjustable so you can make it the perfect height for your child. This is a double sided easel; one side is a chalkboard and the other is a white board. There are two large trays on both sides to hold all of the art supplies your child needs to create their masterpiece. The easel also has a spot for a paper roll. It seriously has it all. Under the easel is three red canvas baskets for you to store all of your child’s art supplies in. They are washable just in case paint gets spilled or a marker gets left open. The easel is made out of solid pine, so it is very sturdy. One thing I found to be super neat was you can take the legs off and the easel can be converted to a table top easel. This would be perfect for large groups, or even for homeschooling. The easel grows with your child, so it can be adjusted from 46 inches to 54 inches. The screws that hold the legs together is really easy to undo, so if you need to adjust the height you can do it in less than 5 minutes (yes I timed how quick it took).
My Recommendation: I think any little kid would love to see this under their Christmas tree this year. Aubreigh loves having the double sides and a place to keep all of her art supplies with in reach. I love how easy it was to set up and how durable it is. Santa will not have any problems setting up this easel this year.
