About Lundby: Lundby was founded by Danish couple Axel and Grete Thomsen when they moved to Gothenburg, Sweden. Hence the house being called the Gothenburg house. Lundby pioneered the doll’s house’s fitted electrical lighting system to be found in every Lundby house. The result of these endeavours makes Lundby one of the strongest doll’s house brands on the market worldwide. The beauty of Lundby is that new ranges of furniture and accessories are constantly being developed to keep the Sweet Lundby Home fresh and contemporary. Since 1945 Lundby has followed trends, fashions, inventions and new lifestyles. Today, the Lundby Home is fitted, of course, with a microwave and a home computer, as well as a CD player and stereo, while furniture, mats and other accessories have a 21st century design.

Sweet Southern Lovin was so excited when I received the wonderful opportunity to work with Lundby. I remember being little and how much joy playing with a doll house brought me, so I knew that this would be the perfect thing for the girls. I was amazed when I received the doll house just how life like and detailed everything is. For our review we received the Lundby Smaland house. When I received the house, I will admit it was a little frustrating putting it together. It looked fairly simple to put together but ended up taking over an hour to put together. While it did end up being totally worth it because this house is awesome, I would suggest putting aside plenty of time to put it together, it is not as easy as it looks. Check out what Lundby has to say about their Smaland house – “Fabulous new features include a balcony, opening and closing doors and windows and a wonderful fresh look. The house is complemented by over 40 sets of stunning new furniture, accessories and even a new family and pets.” and boy does this house deliver. In the bedroom, it is carpeted!!! YES I did say carpet. Each room is done in wallpaper with coordinating floor. Also, the house is “wired” which means that it lights up! I thought that was pretty cool. I have never had a doll house that would light up.

We also received a ton of accessories that go with it. I was very impressed. Just a few of the accessories we received were: Smaland Family Set, Kitchen with Fridge and Stove, Rabbits with Hutch, TV Set, Dining Room Set, Brass Bed Set and Bath & Shower. Let me tell you about the Kitchen sets. The fridge and stove set, let me first start out by saying wow. The detail that has gone into this is just amazing. The pots come with lids that actually come off! The design is also modern because it comes with a tile backsplash which is becoming so popular. It also lights up, which I know for a fact just adds a little more magic to the doll house. The dining room set comes with a rug, 4 lime green chairs and a white wooden table. I was worried about how well the dolls would be able to sit and to do “household” stuff, but to my amazement they were able to sit in the chairs very easily and to be able to stand up on their own and cook. Aubreigh absolutely loves her new doll house. She says it reminds her of the doll house tinkerbell is in in the movie The Hook.

This is such an adorable Doll House that my niece would go nuts over for her birthday! I will have to take a look at it. It sure looks pretty with the lights on.
