Make for dinner tonight: Creole Chicken in the Crock Pot #Recipe

I have recently became addicted to Creole seasoning. I have been putting it on anything and everything. With Aubreigh back in school, I try to use my crock pot as much as I can during the week to save a little bit of time. Check out this awesome recipe featuring the crock pot, creole seasoning and chicken!

I have recently became addicted to Creole seasoning. I have been putting it on anything and everything. With Aubreigh back in school, I try to use my crock pot as much as I can during the week to save a little bit of time. Check out this awesome recipe feature the crock pot, creole seasoning and chicken!

Creole Chicken in the Crockpot

• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast

• Tony Chachere Creole Seasoning (this is what I use, but you can use any)

•Salt and Pepper

• 1 can of stewed tomatoes. Make sure it’s the 14.5 ounce size and do not drain the liquid out.

• 1 green bell pepper, diced.

• 3 cloves of garlic, minced.

• 1 can of mushrooms, drained. Make sure it’s the 4 ounce size.

• 1 medium onion, diced.

Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper and creole seasoning. I doused my chicken with creole, but if you do not like things very spicy just lightly dust it. Then combine the tomatoes, bell pepper, garlic, onion and mushrooms in a bowl and mix. Pour over the chicken and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or high for 5 to 6 hours.

We also had enough left over the next night to make Creole Chicken Soup. I just shredded up the chicken, added in a cup of chicken broth and let it cook around an hour in the crockpot. You can add more or less liquid depending on how you soupy you want it. Very delicious!

Yum

I’ve never tasted creole chicken before. I read over the ingredients and it sounds pretty good. I’m guessing, it’s a spicy dish? I hope it is.
