I am a huge glasses fan. I don’t wear contact lenses often, so I like to have an array of glasses, to either go with my mood or my outfit. So when I found out that I was going to work with SelectSpecs to reivew a pair of glasses I was excited. I got to pick a pair of glasses from their Economy range.
I choose the Savannah 8121-Pink wayfarer styled plastic frame prescription glasses. This pair of glasses style is suitable for either men or women. You can choose to have single vision, bifocal or varifocal/mutifocal lenses in this pair of glasses. These glasses have a soft matte finish and a unique rubber effect.
I love a wayfarer style glasses, and the fun color of these is just awesome. I love to add a little fun sometimes to my day, and these do that. I do feel they sit lower and wider than all the other wayfarer style glasses I own. The color is lighter than what appears in the pictures. I’m not sure if it was the green floordrop that made them appear more hot pink or what, but these are a softer pink. The lenses are really easy to clean with the cloth that is included in with the glasses. You can’t help but love the price. For the Savannah 8121-Pink wayfarer styled plastic frame prescription glasses the price runs at $13.50 with free single vision lenses and coatings.
I do have some issues with the glasses. All issues could’ve been avoided though. When pulling my glasses from the case ,brand new, I noticed they had these stains on them. To me it looks as if dye from something rubbed off onto the glasses. I have tried to rub it off with the cloth that came with it and they will not come off. As you can see in the above pictures it is multiple places. I have not tried a wet cloth to see if it will come just because I don’t want to chance smudging it more. Also I noticed on the arms of the glasses right near the rims where the silver piece should’ve been was missing. The glasses do their job wonderful, the color and style are wonderful, but more attention should’ve been put into inspection before shipping them out. For some it wouldn’t be something that would bother them because of the price, but I would’ve hated to have spent my money on these for them to be delivered this way. I don’t think the quality of these glasses is bad, I just think I ended up getting a pair that wasn’t packaged properly. They wear very nicely and have been, and feel pretty durable.
