Sweet Southern Lovin had the opportunity to work with WoodSnap to review a 16×20 WoodSnap.  They have wood canvas’ that range from 8×8 to 30×40. The image is printed onto the wood by infusing the into the wood like a tattoo. This allows the color to be and remain vibrant all while having the wood grain show through. When the image is printed onto the wood they do not use any white ink, so anything that is white on the image will show the natural wood through. This gives it a warm “yellower” tone through out your photo.  Since your image will be printed on wood it will show the distinct character and blemishes of the wood grain.  WoodSnap also uses a UV coating in their ink to protect against sun exposure. When sending in your image you do not need to worry about cropping because they will handle that for you. They do ask that you send in a high resolution JPG image. Because of WoodSnap’s patent pending process the wood canvas is heat and moisture resistant, so you can use a wet rag of water to simply wipe them off.  Woodsnap has a program called Roots for Trees, for every order placed they plant a Redwood Tree. They do this through American Forests, the nations oldest non-profit conservation organization.

I am a part-time and hobbyist photographer, so I love prints hanging on my wall. When I saw the WoodSnap canvas’ I fell in love! I’m a sucker for wood as well! I literally gasped when I pulled it out of the package. It is absolutely stunning. The wood grain that shows through adds so much character to it. I took it over to my mother in law’s house to show it off. She actually wanted to take it from me. I immediately found a place for it to hang in my living room. It is nice and sturdy and I love that you don’t have to worry about actual hanging hardware. The grooves put into the back of the image make it so easy to put up. The colors are just so bright and crisp. Also I love the fact that I can clean it off with a damp cloth of water if ever need be. The image printed on wood definitely makes it so much more dreamy. I just can’t get over how beautiful these wood prints are. And the customer service was just wonderful. They were quick to answer my questions. I can not wait to add more of these to my house. I want one for every room! Really looking forward to putting one in my bedroom.
